1. Kjeldahl Digestion Unit
The Digestion Unit is the first stage of the analysis. Its purpose is to break down the organic bonds in a sample using concentrated sulfuric acid ($H_{2}SO_{4}$) and catalysts to convert organic nitrogen into ammonium sulfate ($(NH_{4})_{2}SO_{4}$)

2. Kjeldahl Distillation Unit
The Distillation Unit is used for the second stage. It adds a strong base (Sodium Hydroxide, $NaOH$) to the digested sample to convert ammonium ions into ammonia gas ($NH_{3}$), which is then steam-distilled and collected in a receiving acid solution.
