HUMAN LUNGS MODEL / HUMAN ANATOMICAL LUNGS MODEL / HUMAN RESPIRATION MODEL

The lungs, which is the organ for respiration is a paired cone shaped organs lying in the thoracic cavity separated from each other by the heart and other structures in the mediastinum.
The lungs are organs in the chest cavity that are responsible for supplying oxygen to the body and removing carbon dioxide. They are the main organs of the respiratory system, which also includes the circulatory, nervous, lymphatic, and immune systems. Here are some facts about the lungs:
  • LocationThe lungs are located on either side of the heart in the chest cavity. The right lung has three lobes, while the left lung has two. The left lung is slightly smaller than the right lung to make room for the heart.
  • Gas exchangeWhen you breathe in, air travels down into the lungs' air sacs, or alveoli, where gas exchange takes place. Oxygen is moved into the bloodstream and carried throughout the body, while carbon dioxide is carried back to the lungs to be exhaled.
  • Other functionsIn addition to gas exchange, the lungs also:
    • Warm and humidify the air
    • Protect the body from harmful substances
    • Support the sense of smell.

OOGENESIS FIBER MODEL / CHARTS

The anatomy of oogenesis involves the ovaries, ovarian follicles, and the stages of oocyte development:
  • OvariesOogenesis occurs in the ovaries, which are located in the pelvis.
  • Ovarian folliclesOogenesis takes place in ovarian follicles, which are nests of ovarian cells in the cortex of the ovaries.
  • FolliculogenesisFolliculogenesis is the process by which hormone signals recruit ovarian follicles to grow and support developing gametes.
  • Stages of oocyte developmentThe stages of oocyte development include primary oocytes undergoing meiosis, follicle development, ovulation, and the formation of mature eggs.
Here are some stages of oogenesis:
  • Pre-ovulatory stageThis stage is triggered by a surge of LH, which completes meiosis-I. Two haploid cells of different sizes are formed, with one cell receiving less cytoplasm and becoming the polar body.
  • Antral stageFluid-filled spaces between granulosa cells merge to form a central fluid-filled space called the antrum. These are called secondary follicles.
  • Dominant follicle
  • In each monthly cycle, one of the secondary follicles becomes dominant and develops further under the influence of FSH, LH, and estrogen.

SPINAL CORD WITH SPINAL CANAL FIBER MODELS

The spinal cord is a bundle of nerve tissue that runs through the spinal canal, a bony channel in the vertebral column:
Spinal cordSpinal canal
Location Inside the spinal canal, which runs through the center of the spine Bony channel in the vertebral column that protects the spinal cord
Function Transmits nerve signals, controls reflexes, and directs involuntary functions Protects the spinal cord and nerve roots
Structure Cylindrical and well-organized, with 31 segments and 31 pairs of spinal nerves Formed by the foramina of the vertebrae
Other features Covered by three membranes called meninges, with spaces between the membranes used for diagnostic and treatment procedures Can narrow, which is called spinal stenosis, and can impinge on the spinal cord

The spinal cord's main functions include: Controlling body movements and functions, Directing autonomic functions like breathing rate and heartbeat, Reporting senses to the brain, and Managing reflexes.

The spinal cord ends about three fourths of the way down the spine, but a bundle of nerves called the cauda equina extends beyond the cord.

HUMAN HEAD NECK FIBER MODEL / CHARTS

The human face and neck are made up of many anatomical features, including muscles, bones, nerves, and vessels:
Skull
  • The skull is a strong, bony capsule that encloses the brain and rests on the neck. It's made up of two main parts: the neurocranium, which surrounds the brain, and the viscerocranium, which supports the facial muscles.
  • Neck
  • The neck is the area between the skull base and the clavicles. It contains many important structures, including the cervical spine, the spinal cord, the carotid and vertebral arteries, the jugular veins, the larynx, and the vocal cords.
  • Neck muscles
  • The neck has many muscles, including the sternocleidomastoid, trapezius, platysma, subclavius, suprahyoids, infrahyoids, and scalenes. These muscles move the head and neck, and also help with breathing, swallowing, and speaking.
  • Face
  • The face is the most anterior region of the head, and is unique to each individual. It contains many structures that help with seeing, smelling, feeding, communicating, and displaying emotions.
  • Oral cavity
  • The oral cavity is lined with a stratified squamous epithelium that protects against pathogens and provides lubrication. The lips are protected by specialized sensory cells called Meissner's corpuscles.

Human heart and lungs contain several types of cells, including:
  • Red blood cells: These cells transport oxygen from the lungs to the body's tissues and carbon dioxide from the tissues back to the lungs.
  • Alveolar epithelial cells: These cells make up the sacs in the lungs where gas exchange takes place.
  • Bronchiolar epithelial cells: Also known as airway cells, these cells line the lungs and contain smooth muscle.
  • Cardiomyocytes: These cells make up about 35% of the heart's cells.
  • Endothelial cells: These cells make up about 60% of the heart's cells.
  • Fibroblasts: These cells make up less than 20% of the heart's cells.
  • The heart pumps blood through the body's cardiovascular system, delivering oxygen to tissues and removing carbon dioxide and other waste.

DEVELOPMENT OF NEVOUS EMBROLOGY MODEL / CHARTS

The nervous system develops from the ectoderm, the outermost tissue layer of an embryo, through a process called neurogenesis:

  1. 1. Neural plateIn the third week of development, the ectoderm differentiates into neuroectoderm, which forms the neural plate along the embryo's dorsal side.
  2. 2. Neural grooveThe neural plate folds inward to form a groove, with ridge-like edges called neural folds.
  3. 3. Neural tubeThe neural folds fuse together to form the neural tube, which is filled with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
  4. 4. Brain vesiclesThe anterior part of the neural tube forms three primary brain vesicles, which eventually divide into five secondary brain vesicles.
  5. 5. Neural crestCells from the neural folds separate to form the neural crest, which develops into parts of the peripheral nervous system.

The foot and ankle contain 26 bones: Phalanges: The bones in the toes, with three phalanges in each toe except the big toe. Doctors refer to the phalanges as proximal, middle, and distal from back to front. Metatarsals: The bones in the foot. Tarsals: The bones in the foot, including the talus and calcaneus. The talus transmits forces from the tibia to the heel bone, which is the calcaneus. The foot and ankle also contain many joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, nerves, and soft tissue. The foot and ankle work together to provide balance, stability, movement, and propulsion.

DEVELOPMENT OF GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT MODEL / DEVELOPMENT OF GIT FIBER MODEL / CHARTS

The gastrointestinal tract (GIT) begins to develop in the embryo around week 3 of prenatal life. The development of the GIT involves the following stages:
  • Yolk sac incorporationThe yolk sac is incorporated into the embryo during lateral and craniocaudal folding, forming the primitive gut tube.
  • Groove formationA thickening in the embryo's midline forms a groove that divides into three sections: the foregut, midgut, and hindgut.
  • Organ developmentEach section gives rise to different parts of the GIT:
    • Foregut: Develops into the esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, bile ducts, and proximal duodenum
    • Midgut: Develops into the jejunum, ileum, cecum, appendix, ascending colon, distal duodenum, and proximal two-thirds of the transverse colon
    • Hindgut: Develops into the sigmoid colon, descending colon, distal one-third of the transverse colon, and upper anal canal

TRANSVERCE SECTION OF BRAIN  FIBER MODELS / CHARTS

A transverse section of the human brain is a horizontal slice that divides the brain into upper and lower sections. It's created by cutting the brain perpendicular to the body's long axis, which is parallel to the floor when a person is upright. Transverse sections are often used in imaging techniques like CT scans and MRIs to visualize the internal structures of the body. They are also used in biology to examine the structure and organization of organs, tissues, and other anatomical features.

Understanding transverse sections is important for many disciplines, including anatomy, architecture, and engineering. It helps reveal hidden internal details that are critical for analysis and diagnostics.

BERKEFELD  FILTER / BERKEFELD  FILTER COMUNITY HEALTH MODEL

The Berke feld filter uses gravity to purify water by passing it through filter elements and into a lower storage tank: Fill the upper tank: Pour untreated water into the upper tank of the filter housing. Gravity pulls water through the filter: The water flows through the filter elements by gravity. Filtered water is stored in the lower tank: The filtered water collects in the lower tank, where it can be accessed. In the bottom of the upper cylinder are one or more holes fitted with diatomaceous earth (Kieselgur) filter columns (filter candles). The water is forced through the filters by gravity, and then trickles down to the lower cylinder where it is stored and tapped off as required.

DEVELOPMENT OF FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE

This model embryological development of the female reproductive organs. The development of the reproductive system begins at approximately 6 weeks gestational age. Initially the system consists of undifferentiated gonads and two paired ductal systems.

The female reproductive system develops through a complex series of events that are critical for sex determination and tissue and organ differentiation. Here are some parts of the female reproductive system and their development:
  • OvariesThe main female sex organs that produce hormones and female gametes. They are located on either side of the lower abdomen and are connected to the uterus and pelvic wall by ligaments.
  • UterusPrepares for pregnancy by thickening the endometrial lining during the follicular phase of the menstrual cycle.
  • Fallopian tubesTransport ova released from the ovaries for fertilization and then transport the embryo to the uterus.
  • Müllerian ductBegins as an invagination of the coelomic epithelium at the top of the genital ridge.
  • Genital tubercleElongates slightly to form the clitoris.
  • Urethral folds and genital swellingsDo not fuse, but instead form the labia minora and labia majora respectively.
  • Breast tissueDevelops during puberty, and mammary ducts develop during puberty and pregnancy. Breast milk is secreted during postpartum lactation.
The female reproductive system also supports the developing fetus and delivers it to the outside world.

HUMAN EAR ANATOMY FIBER MODEL / CHARTS

The human ear is a shell-like structure on the side of the head that has three main parts: the outer ear, middle ear, and inner ear:
  • Outer earAlso called the pinna or auricle, this is the visible part of the ear that collects sound waves. The ear canal is lined with wax to lubricate the tissue, fight infection, and remove dead skin.
  • Middle earLocated behind the eardrum, this part of the ear contains three small bones called the malleus, incus, and stapes. These bones amplify and transfer sound vibrations to the inner ear. The middle ear also contains the eustachian tubes, which help equalize air pressure in the ears.
  • Inner earLocated in a small hole in the temporal bones, the inner ear contains the cochlea and the semicircular canals. The cochlea is the hearing organ that converts sound waves into electrical impulses that are sent to the brain. The semicircular canals are responsible for balance and tell the brain which direction the head is moving.
Ears grow quickly until about age nine, and then continue to grow in circumference throughout life. Males tend to experience more growth in length.

CYSTIC FIBROSIS FIBER MODEL / CHARTS

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that causes sticky, thick mucus to build up in your organs, blocking and damaging them. Many people think of CF as a lung disease because it affects your lungs and airways, which can make it hard to breathe and cause frequent infections. But it’s called cystic fibrosis because it also causes cysts and scarring (fibrosis) in your pancreas. This damage, plus the thick mucus, can block ducts that release digestive enzymes, making it hard to get nutrients from your digestive tract. CF can also affect your liver, sinuses, intestines and sex organs.
